Morning: I hear his alarm go off though I'm not sure exactly what time it is. By the time I check my phone, it's a bit past 7:30. I finally manage to get up around 8. I head to the front of the house expecting him to be sitting at the computer. When he's not there, I turn on the kitchen light and hear a "hello!" from one of the smaller bedrooms, haha. He's in bed listening to a Zoom call. I brush my teeth and get ready for my own Zoom call, which goes pretty well. I'm interested in doing a rotation in another group, so I'll follow up with my manager later today to make sure I can do that. He showers, gets dressed, and kisses me goodbye. I see that both of my afternoon meetings get canceled today, so I spend most of the morning prepping for my meeting with my boss. Play Netflix in the background (The Big Day).
Afternoon: The meeting goes well, and she's aligned with my interest in doing the rotation (YAY!). I send an email to the rotational group. I settle in with a Wall Street Journal article that talks about going to Antarctica and how "Antarctica was like a beacon during the darkest days of COVID -- something to look forward to while we hid from the world." I lay on the couch, watch Netflix (The Big Day followed by Yummy Mummies), and keep an eye out on email. Pour a glass of diet Dr. Pepsi. Shower in the late afternoon and get dressed (sweats, sweater, jacket) for when SO gets home from work. One of the outlet stores nearby is closing soon, and we're going to scope out what might be on sale.
Evening: SO comes home, we wait for his mom to arrive to drop off a few tasty dishes, and then we leave. The lady at the outlet store tell us that they will close later in March so she expects the sales to start next week. I find a few things that really cute, and if they're still there later on in the month, I'll get them. After the outlets, we head to a local Chinese BBQ place because he wants to get stuff from there for his work potluck later this week. They open at 11 in the morning, so we'll need to swing by there tomorrow to pick up for his potluck the day after. Last stop is Taco Bell where we get 4 chicken burritos and 4 beefy melts. I eat one of each and drink another glass of diet Dr. Pepsi. Read R29 Money Diaries, brush teeth & Listerine (go me!), and fall asleep around 10:30.
